Here at Lower Lake Ranch, Colorado’s oldest Guest Ranch, we offer a wide variety of services, activities and special events. FLY FISHING

STOCKED PONDS

For those in pursuit of a big catch or just learning how to cast, fishing at one of LLR’s three Trophy Ponds will be a successful experience. Not many properties have a proven record in offering a fly fishing experience that LLR has. Members of LLR's Fly Fishing Club and Guest visiting the ranch with their family and friends thoroughly enjoy the "Catch". LLR ponds are stocked with Rainbow, Cutthroat and Brown Trout. The ranches Fresh Water ecosystem is unsurpassed. Some of our oldest Fishing Members have been casting and catching on the Ranch for over 60 years. So if you see one of our Old Timers slowly casting say “Hello, and how’s the fishing”. 

STREAM FISHING

For those fisherman in pursuit stream fishing looking for those pockets or a fast flow of water, then fishing along the 2.5 miles of Elk Creek will be a little more challenging. The rainbow brookie can range from small to surprisingly large.
