RANCH LOCATION
WHAT IS THE ALTITUDE AT THE RANCH?
The ranch is located in a High mountain meadow at 8000’, surrounded by other mountain ranges and peaks at 9,400 + feet. Most guest acclimate very well as long as they drink a lot of water to prevent dehydration. For guest that are concerned about lack of oxygen, they should contact their physician to make arrangements for oxygen services during their stay. There are services in the Denver area that will deliver and pickup oxygen machines.
LODGING
IS SMOKING ALLOWED IN THE ROOMS?
Smoking is only allowed in designated areas, that does not include inside any rooms or other indoor facilities. Since Colorado has dry weather conditions there may be under a fire band, if the State or County imposes a Fire Band no smoking on the property will be implemented.
IS THERE WI-FI?
The ranch is located in a mountain valley that is unable to receive WI-FI services.
IS THERE CELL SERVICE?
We advise bringing your cell phone. Cell service is random and based on the service providers. AT & T and Verizon seem to have limited service but should not be relied on. Texting does seem to work and may be an alternative way to communicate.
ARE THE RATES PER ROOM, OR PER PERSON?
Rates provided are per room or per cabin and rates may depend on the occupancy. Please refer to the package plan signed up for whether your room rate is a double rate or 3 or more in a room. Family Cabins are flat fee nightly rates.
HOW ARE THE ROOMS STOCKED?
Individual Cabin Rooms are stocked with Shampoo/Conditioner, Soaps, Towels, Bed Linens, Coffee, condiments, glasses, & coffee cups. Rooms are stocked similar to a hotel. Family Cabins are stocked similarly plus Kitchens have pots, pans, flatware, dishware, cooking utensils for min. type of cooking.
DO THE ROOMS HAVE IRONING BOARDS AND IRONS?
Yes, ironing boards and irons are either in each room or in a cabin common area in the Family Cabins.
TRANSPORTATION / AIRPORT
RENTAL CARS?
Groups traveling by airplane may want to consider arriving together and rent from any of the major Vehicle rental companies i.e. Enterprise, Hertz, Budget etc.
**Notice, guest that hire Uber should know that Uber drivers do not necessarily drop guest off at the Lodging Check in office. Notice*** Uber will NOT pick up guest when they are ready to check out, resulting in Guest needing to hire an alternative shuttle service from Denver, this could result in loss valuable time if the guest needs to check in at the Airport a specific time
WHERE IS THE CLOSEST AIRPORT?
Denver International Airport is approximately 1.5 hours away from the Ranch. The ranch is located 37 miles from downtown Denver and about 50 miles from the airport. If your driving your own rental take I-70 west to C-470 South to Hwy 285 S. go about 20 miles towards Conifer, then 4 miles past Conifer you will see the Staunton State Park / Elk Creek Rd. exit, take that exit and at the stop sign turn right, go 2.2 miles to the Ranch entrance on the Left. If you pass the main entrance don’t worry the road ends a bit further and you have to turn around and come back to the main entrance. See ya soon!!!

WHAT TYPE OF OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES ARE THERE?

DO I NEED TO REGISTER FOR OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES?
Yes, There are several choices to register for Fly Fishing
1. A “Stay” Fee- $50.00 the entire time you “Stay”
2. A “Day” Fee- $100.00 for Non-Lodging guest
3. An Annual Membership Fee- Ask staff for details
4. Request a Guided Fly Fishing lesson- Ask staff for details
GENERAL & MISC.
DOES THE RANCH OFFER LIQUOR?
The Ranch Lodging is not a licensed to serve alcoholic beverages, Lodging guest are welcome to bring their own spirits, beer and wine for self serve. Beer bottles are not allowed anywhere on the property. If you are bringing in beer, beer cans are acceptable.
ARE PETS ALLOWED?
Unfortunately, Dogs and other domesticated house pets are not allowed in the cabin rooms. Local kennels may be a great option for your pet.
CAN I BRING MY OWN HORSE?
Yes, personal horses are often brought to the ranch while their owner are relaxing. There are great horseback riding trails on the ranch and in the adjacent Staunton State Park.
