Many Guest and Dude Ranches create your itinerary with mandated times for specific activities. Their pricing is considered all inclusive with many services a guest really doesn't want to participate in, yet the per person price makes it mandatory to pay for.  

At Lower Lake Ranch, your itinerary is your itinerary and the services you receive have been prearranged and selected by you or incorporated in your group plan. First you select your room or cabin priced at a nightly rate, then add on additional services.  LLR Staff can furnish each group or family with a variety of activities that can create a custom itinerary for your family and friends and any add-on fees.  At LLR, guest are allowed to explore and experience their own desires. They can sign up for a Guided Fly Fishing Class or Zip Line experience, or Hike the ranch trails along the rolling creek, or Hike up to Lionshead Peak in the State Park overlooking the Valley and beyond.  Views as far South as Pikes Peak or West to Mount Evans or maybe consider bringing your own horse for a trailblazing ride at the State Park.  LLR's Guest activities are “their ideas and chooses”.

If your looking for a Day trip of Activities away from the ranch,  consider exploring a couple of great options:

Breckenridge is located a little over an hour from the ranch.  A great mountain village with a variety of Shops and Restaurants.   Travel south down Hwy 285 for 40 miles to Fairplay,  turn right on Main St and arrive in Breckenridge in about 20 minutes.  Over the ranges and through the woods past miles and miles of awesome views.

Manitou Springs-Colorado Springs area is only an hour and 10 minutes from the ranch.   Take Hwy 285 south about 1.5 miles to Pine Junction turn left at the intersection and take the Colorado Scenic Byway road 124 all the way to Woodland Park, CO, turn left on Main St. and in a few minutes outside of town you will arrive at the Pike Peaks entrance on the right.  Turn right and climb, climb, climb to the top of Pikes Peak.

DAY 1

Arrive to check into Lodging around Noon – 2:00pm, given a Ranch Map etc.

Settle into your room after check- in, visit with other family and friends as they arrive too.

3:00-4:00 Guest in Wedding Party go to ceremony site for rehearsal practice

4:00 ish- Freshen up time before our Rehearsal Picnic at the Ranch Park

4:30 - Start arriving at the Ranch Park- Game time before Dinner - Volleyball rope ladder, horseshoes, stream fishing, Park hiking trails along the North & South Fork enjoy! Pick your own teams for volleyball

5:00- Dinner time- “We’re having a Pig Roast”!!! Enjoy!!!

6:30- Fireside Smores and Wine or a Beer !!!

9:00- Who wants to head to the Buck Snort and Who wants to sit out at the Gold

DAY 2 - Wedding Day

Free time for Guest

7:30- Hiking team heading to the State Park

11:00- 2:00- Hair and Make-up- Girls meet at Gold Nugget

3:00- Ceremony

3:30- Cocktail and Photo time

6:00- Dinner

7:30- Party Begins
